Today, my son...

1. Wore a t-shirt that his teacher told him to wear.
2. Stood on a stage with his class without being hunched over and looking sick.
3. Sang, his lips moved just like the rest of the class.
4. Did not cover his ears with his hands.
5. Used his hands to do motions to the song.
6. Did a "dance" with the rest of his class.

Wes and I were happily surprised. I am proud.

notice to the toothfairy

We have a tooth ready for pickup. Josiah's number two.

Josiah thinks he needs 100 dollars and 100 pennies. I'm not sure the tooth fairy can handle that kind of cash. Anyone want to pitch in? :O)

He likes it! He really likes it!

"You are about to be crushed by a giant corn!"

Yes, my son liked the movie. He thought it was silly. What movie, you ask, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The above quote is Josiah's favorite one of the movie. In was the fortune from a giant fortune cookie that landed upon the great wall of China. It was super cute. I am excited to find a fun movie that Josiah actually enjoyed, without freaking out, exiting the room, etc, that is not titled Cars.

Presenting, the letter D!

My 'Daya is very fond of the letter D. She loves to stomp and tromp and roar like the Dinosaur.
Her Dollies are her favorite, I've lost track of how many she has. Dancing is what happens when you hear the 'sic. Doggies they go ruff. And her Daddy is the bestest D ever.

naming the dinos

It seems that Adam forgot to name all the dinosaur species. Today, Wes named the two that stomp and tromp through our home:

Dayadon

New Rule

I enacted a new rule today:

Toys left on the kitchen floor shall be subject to immediate (no requests to pick toys up or else) toy time out. With exception to large, half completed, floor puzzles since the kitchen is the only hard surface on which this type of puzzle can be completed (and we have many of them).

So far the new rule has had the following results:

While Adaya was playing with her favorite baby doll in the kitchen, I reminded her that if she leaves her baby doll lying on the kitchen floor, it would have to go in time out. Adaya preceded to pick up her doll and place her on the stairs, on the first step down, the time out step.

Josiah, upon finding out about the rule, got some of Adaya's toys, placed them on the kitchen floor, and left them there. He wanted to find out if the rule was really true or if Mommy was just joking. He obviously wasn't going to take the chance, that I might be serious, with his own toys.

a mystery

Josiah tells me that there is a mystery at his school. Kids keep finding broken pencils on the playground. Josiah told his friend, Luke, to meet him at the yellow slide and they would work on solving the case. But they had indoor recess. Now they have to wait till Tuesday...
