I should also mention that the point of the shoot with the girls was to get hair/makeup head shots for another friend's portfolio. So if anyone wants their hair or makeup done, ask me about our friend Colleen Baker. And yes, we did a few nice head shots for the portfolio (there are about 100 shots of each person), but sometimes it's the not so "nice" ones that become the favs.
I'm a wife. I'm a mom. I'm a photographer. I love the things I do... You're sure to read some about all of them here.

Photo day
Today I took about 500 pictures. First, I took Adaya's 5 month shots. Later, I shot some friends. I just finished looking through them all. Wes and I had a good laugh over some of them. Here are a few of my favs (unedited)...

110 days
A week ago, Sunday, I finished reading through my Bible. I started when Adaya was three weeks and my spinal headache had subsided enough to read. I read a lot of it out loud, which was challenging, at times. I read whenever Adaya was nursing. I've tried a few times to read through in a year, but have never succeeded. So the fact that I did so in less than 4 months, feels like I actually accomplished something usefull. It's interesting to read all of the scripture that compactly. I think it helped me look at it as a whole instead of verses and chapters and books. It helped bring the old and new testiments into a tighter relationship with one another. It brought to life some things that I maybe skimmed over in the past. I think it was a valuable thing to do. I don't know that I will ever read it again like that, that was a lot of reading. But now that I am done, it feels like I don't read my Bible enough. It's an odd feeling really.

75% off day
A pluthera of toys went on sale for 75% off today at Target. I spent about$45 on toys to take to NCO, $20 on each of our nephews (I am done Christmas shopping for them.), about $30 on Josiah (I am done b-day shopping for him.), and around $30 on Adaya for both near and not so near b-day and Christmas. Does anyone know any Thomas train fanatics besides Josiah? I couldn't pass on a couple of wooden train items at 75% off, even getting 50% off is huge for Thomas.

CARS
The other day Josiah announced that for his next birthday he wanted to have another Cars party. Mind you, his birthday is in October. He is crazy about that movie. Perhaps it is our fault. It was the first movie we took him to see, just before his 3rd birthday. And for his 3rd birthday, we had a Cars themed party. So I guess number five will be easy to plan. I may even have left over napkins and plates. Next Thurday I will be going to Target to shop for this next birthday. It is the day that I believe all the clearance toys will be marked down to 75%. I will be picking up:
1. A big "brand new Mater" for about $6.25
2. A big "Red" for $5
3. A race track/storage case for under $4
4. A large remote controlled construction vehicle for under $15
and for my nephews:
5. The Cars V-Flash cartrage
and
6. Whatever else seems like a good item for Josiah, his cousins, Adaya, a friends birthday, or to take to NCO.

a night off
Tonight I went to book club. I left before 6:30 and got home after 10:00. Adaya and Josiah both stayed home with Daddy. My boobs do thank you, Wesly. :O)

Windmills
They are huge. Perhaps they are eye sores. They make me kind of happy. They go round and round and generate power, clean power. It's a happy thing.
(I was going to post a photo, but the dial up sucks and this computer is so sloooooooow.)

That hurt a little
This evening I tried to see if I could do a situp. I'm not sure what I even accomplished could be considered a crunch. Yet, I am a little sore.

Do I dare hope?
Did he? Maybe? Do I get my hopes up? Could it be? What else could it be? If it's not, I haven't a clue.

~Friends (that's why I'm making thank you notes)
~Christmas trees (decorated by 4 year olds)
~First signs that he is starting to read (Really, he figured out the word milk a couple days ago.)

I have no time to blog
Sorry I've been blog delinquent, on both blogs. I don't really have time right now. I wish I did. I wish I could think clearly.
Sometimes Adaya sleeps well. Sometimes, like last night, she doesn't. She was up from 3-6 last night. Not good. A couple nights ago, she slept 12-7, amazing.
Josiah annoys me. Four year olds like to nag. I don't handle it well when lacking in sleep.
Neither of my children have any patience. I am running low as well.
Sometimes I don't feel like I have anything left to give...

So while I still have a tiny little headache...
I can say it's been much better this past week. I have not even taken any tylonal for a couple of days now. That makes me really happy. (Still on chocolate theropy, Mark. However I think that's just a life long, day to day neccessity.)
Adaya is sleeping well at night. God has been good and given me an easier baby this time around. For most of the last week, she has only gotten up once during the night after she is in bed. Which means she sleep from 10:30-3:30 and 5-8:30 last night.
Recovery for the actual surgery is going well. It's been tougher this time around. I definately feel like it's taken a bigger toll on my body this time. Of course, having two children now means I have to do more and recover less. Also still having more pain in the area that I believe to be where they removed the meckel's diverticulum. But that too is getting better.
I also wanted to mention that my experience with and my attitude towards this c-section has just been completly different from Josiah's. For that, I praise God. Josiah's c-section was heart renching. I was unsupported in so many ways. I actually had to come to terms with it just a few months ago. With Adaya's c-section, I feel like I've been given life. I realize just how much it was a part of God's plan. At the least, the incedental finding of the meckels saved me a lot of future pain, at the most it saved me from a cancer struggle. I'll never know for sure, but I do know that God wanted the surgens to find it. I know that all the prayers that were prayed were answered. So thank you for your prayers.
