Farm fresh veggies

Today Josiah and I went over to my parents' house. We spent most of our time outside and half of that in the garden. Back, way back when, May or June, my parents planted their garden with Josiah's help. Josiah got to harvest some of the seeds that he planted. I think he enjoyed himself. We came home with corn, carrots, and tomatoes. The beans were already picked and will be delivered in jars for year round enjoyment. Josiah also learned about what it means when mommy and grandma repeatedly tell him not to touch the fence because "it's "hot" and it will zap you."

The "jungle"
Josiah is a bit hesitant at first.

How about this one grandma?

It's fun inside the corn rows.

Ever had beef at our house? This is the field it was raised in. They love the corn harvest.

Heading for shade to husk our corn.
Removing carrot tops is hard work.
